The People Behind Tamlaytong
Tamlaytong was built from years of hands-on experience living, renovating and managing homes on Koh Phangan.
As a British–Thai husband and wife team, we combine local knowledge with international standards, giving property owners confidence that their home is being looked after by people who genuinely know the island and understand what matters most.
Property management is about far more than handing over keys or arranging cleaners. It's about protecting one of your biggest investments, anticipating problems before they arise, and ensuring both owners and guests always feel supported. That's exactly what we do every day.
By keeping our portfolio deliberately small, we're able to give every property the time, attention and care it deserves. Every property receives our personal attention, whether that's overseeing maintenance, preparing homes for arriving guests, coordinating trusted local contractors, or simply being available whenever an owner or guest needs us. We believe our clients should always know exactly who's looking after their home. That's why we're always just a phone call away.
Kate Sukphol
Originally from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, I first came to Koh Phangan in 2003, and quickly fell in love with the island and its way of life.
I went on to build and successfully run my own bar on Koh Phangan, gaining my first real experience of running a business and dealing with everything that comes with it.
After several years on the island, I returned to Guernsey, with a short stint in South Africa along the way, and moved into the finance industry.
I eventually became Operations Manager for a private wealth management company, gaining valuable experience in organisation, administration, finance and managing the many moving parts of a busy business.
I returned to Thailand in 2016, initially working in dive sales before moving on to work at a friend's bar. I then spent five years as Villa Manager for Aspire Villas, where I gained extensive hands-on experience in building and managing luxury properties, looking after owners and guests, coordinating teams and contractors, and dealing with the day-to-day challenges of running luxury villas on Koh Phangan.
After years of working with properties and seeing what makes a management service genuinely good — and what can sometimes be missing — Tamlaytong was the natural next step. Today, I bring together my experience in business, finance, hospitality and villa management to provide the kind of hands-on, personal property management service that I would want for my own home.
Sampansak Sukphol (Bob)
Born and raised on Koh Phangan, Bob has spent most of his life on the island and has an in-depth understanding of the local community, businesses and way of life.
After leaving school, he began working at beach bungalows, gaining his first experience in hospitality and learning the practical, hands-on side of looking after guests and running a property.
He later spent several years living in Wales before returning to Koh Phangan, where he went back into hospitality and ran his own beach bar, gaining further experience in hospitality and running a business on the island.
With his lifelong knowledge of Koh Phangan, combined with Kate's experience in property management and business, Tamlaytong was a natural next step — bringing together two very different backgrounds and a shared understanding of what it takes to look after a property properly.
